Idea “Fairy”

You know how there are musicians out there that are just the “writers” or creators of the lyrics, but they don’t sing the song? Is there a job out there that gives ideas to writers/authors for them to develop and the idea fairy gets paid for it?

For years, I mean YEARS I have developed, saved, and wrote down ideas for stories. For example when I first started writing when I was in High School I wrote a story about a girl having her very first experience with a boy and she ends up finding out at 16 years a old that she has HIV. this was during a time in my life where the basketball player Magic Johnson was sharing his experience more about having HIV. 

I never ended up going anywhere with the story….. however I have another 50 plus storylines like this. They come to me from my dreams primarily. I wake up and start writing in my notes portion of my phone. Every now and then my husband will ask…. Who are you texting this early in the morning…. I love to say I had a dream that could be a story and I don’t want to forget it. 

I have no specific genre that I focus on….. Here is an example…..

Imagine,

You wake up after being asleep for over  500 years. You were in a world or time or history that was very space oriented and very futuristic before you fell asleep. When you wake up it is mid evil times. It is a world that went backwards in civilization with warriors and knights no technology exists besides with the leaders of this new world. There are these signs of technology billboards but none of it works as if there was some sort of apocalypse. However the civilians are not aware of it any of this let alone a person frozen. 

As you slowly begin to remember things from your life 500 years ago there are things that don’t quiet add up. Technology is “gone,” because the understanding of magic 500 years ago was like a normal 2020 with no magic at all. You believe and think you went back in time, but that is not the case. 

Your job was a skilled assassin, but you don’t remember this when you initially wake up you only do what your body is telling you to…… just run.
